A FESTIVE MESSAGE FROM THE PLUM TEAM - DECEMBER 2020

Wishing You A Very Safe Christmas and New Year from The Plum Team

Whilst it’s a rather bleak and rainy day in Solihull – we’re sending this message with our sincere wishes for a brighter future and a peaceful and safe festive season.

We know from keeping in touch with many of you that for some it’s been (very) tough however, we’re continually inspired by the resilience and positivity shown in the face of difficulties and the tremendous sense of hope for the future.

Although challenges remain such as the (new) lockdown measures, the extended furlough scheme, the impending Brexit transitions and we recognise it will be a long road back to the UK jobs market seen pre-Covid – there is also lots of ‘good news’.

Many people have started new permanent roles this year; interviews for new positions are taking place this week and our team of temporary workers have continued to work successfully (often remotely) throughout much of the year.

New clients have come on board and some of the temporary assignments have been extended until March.

We know that from talking to clients that so many have definite plans to recruit in the future.  These are encouraging signs and positive indications.  Indeed some clients have experienced an increase in business and are planning on recruiting for new roles due to growth.

Looking ahead to the New Year and on a very local basis, across Solihull and the surrounding areas there are several reasons for reassurance and optimism.

As well as the welcome vaccine news, there are many inspirational local projects such as UK Central, HS2, Coventry City of Culture 2021 and the Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022 which will bring employment opportunities to the area.

We will of course keep you posted of all opportunities and will do our very best in supporting your job search in the New Year - of that you can be certain.

Until then, we hope you’ll enjoy our festive video (you may wish to turn up the volume!) – or pop over to our Facebook or LinkedIn pages to see what we’ve been up to this year. We’d love to ‘see’ you!

May we take this opportunity to wish you all a peaceful and safe Christmas and all you wish for in 2021 and beyond.
