Warehouse Administrator

12 month Maternity cover

Location:  Shirley, Solihull
Hours of work: 08.00 – 4.00 Mon – Fri (30 mins lunch)

Salary: £25,000 - £28,000

 

We're looking for an organised and proactive Warehouse Administrator to support the day-to-day administration of a busy Sample Warehouse. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and experience in a fast-paced warehouse or goods-in/goods-out environment.

Working closely with internal teams, suppliers, and customers, you'll play a key role in ensuring stock availability, processing orders, coordinating deliveries, and providing administrative support across the department.

What You'll Be Doing

As the Warehouse Administrator, your responsibilities will include:

Maintaining stock levels by ordering products for the production of Point of Sale material and sample requirements.Processing order requests and providing accurate information to the Sales Team.Liaising with external suppliers to source materials including adhesives, packaging, consumables, and other departmental supplies.Raising purchase orders, obtaining quotations and approvals, and processing orders using the QAD system.Coordinating customer despatches and arranging transport.Responding to queries from colleagues across the business, delivering excellent customer service and administrative support.

Essential Skills & Experience

Previous experience in a warehouse administration or goods in/goods out environment.Experience of stock control processes.Strong IT skills with the ability to learn business systems (experience with ERP systems such as QAD is advantageous).Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across different departments.
