We're seeking a qualified Accountant with (significant) experience of working with senior leadership teams and possessing gained from working in a local government finance department or in a local government 'owned' company.

You'll have a breadth and depth of knowledge and sound understanding of financial private and public sector accounting procedures.

If you're a consummate finance professional with a qualification in accountancy/finance and seeking a part-time role in a high-profile organisation undergoing a high-growth period ... this could be for you.

Your CV will clearly show your achievements and how you have ensured the necessary financial resources are effectively used and managed for the delivery of a commercial/corporate business plan for a (massive) development plan.

Previous work history will show how you have secured the delivery of the corporate financial requirements throughout the financial cycle as well as your outstanding experience in budget setting, forecasting, final and statutory accounts.

The role is at a senior level and will require -

*leading on the strategic budget process
*delivering corporate financial requirements in line with internal and external regulations and timescales
*high level problem resolution

As well as your technical accounts and finance expertise you will be a confident, clear and articulate communicator who is able to contribute positively to key meetings including Board meetings and also attend Cabinet Member Decision and Scrutiny sessions.

This is a senior, part-time role with key and important responsibilities. It is envisaged the duties will be over 2.5 - 3-days a week - with Wednesday being a key day.

No doubt your CV will show your depth of experience gained at senior level ideally in both the public and private sectors. If you've worked in the construction industry on projects with multiple stakeholders this would also be a distinct advantage.
