Due to continued growth for this well-respected and established law firm based in Solihull we have a new opportunity for a Legal Administrator / Legal Assistant.

You'll be working in the Court of Protection team assisting and supporting Legal team. You will act as a first point of contact for clients, family members and other organisations, such as care homes or social services.

You'll be able to answer queries with patience and tact especially when dealing with vulnerable clients who may have limited understanding of their circumstances and may be under considerable stress.

You will manage the financial administration tasks of the team, such as arranging for bills to be paid and raising cheques where required.

You will also be responsible for carrying out monthly reconciliations of clients' bank statements using Excel to ensure all expenditure has been accurately recorded.

You will also provide general support to the team, including diary management, and ensuring all electronic and paper filing is carried out efficiently.

Ideally this will be a full-time role (35 hours per week) however, the client will consider applications from individuals looking for flexible working.

Your CV will show you experience in an administrative role, ideally as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary and it will be a distinct advantage if you've experience of Court of Protection work.

You'll be a confident user of Excel and be able to report and manage financial information, such as carrying out bank reconciliations.
