When I first met the Consultant from Plum Personnel I had been trying to recruit for a Finance Manager role for some time. We had worked with several other agencies but they didn’t seem to understand what we were looking for. As a result we were being sent a wide spectrum of CV’s and we hadn’t found the right candidate to recruit.
The approach from Plum Personnel was very different in that they took time to talk to me at length about what we were looking for. By asking clear and probing questions the Consultant clarified not just what the skills we needed were, but the type of person that would fit our organisation. She then looked around for suitable candidates and talked to each of them about their experience and our role. It wasn’t until she had completed a rigorous process that she sent appropriate CVs on to me. As a result of this approach not only could I place reliance that the CVs were from candidates who should be suitable for our role, but Plum Personnel could provide me with information on the candidates that I could not have gleaned from the CV’s alone. I found the approach taken by Plum Personnel to be refreshing, and practical. They didn’t blanket me with CV’s in the hope that one would hit the mark.
