IT Technical Project Manager


Band 7 - £21 per hour
NHS Temporary role
3-months initally - ongoing

09:00 to 17:00 (37.5 hours a week)

Working in the Informatics Department and reporting to the Programme Manager you will be responsible for a range of duties supporting a major projects to achieve the successful implementation of both short and long term and both local and national IT projects throughout the organisation.

You will take responsibility for ensuring that all projects are run to PRINCE2 standards and that an auditable trail exists throughout the life of the project.

In addition you will negotiate with clinical and management colleagues a practical plan regarding project deliverables as required to achieve the strategy ... and monitor the progress of each work-stream against the agreed project plan, and intervene at any point where there is a risk of delay, resource overuse or unacceptable quality.

You will identify conflicting priorities and propose appropriate action to deliver the overall programme of work and be responsible for Project Budget and Project Change Control and Business Contingency planning for all projects.

Your role will be to lead in the development of business cases, with documentation in line with local and national standards as well as lead the development of Project Brief and Project Initiation Documentation (PID).

In addition you will be responsible for producing and presenting structured project reporting in accordance with PRINCE2 ... and more!

As you will be working in the NHS we will require you to -

- undertake or have undertaken Mandatory Training
- have a DBS (or be willing to apply)
- undertake a 'fit for work' assessment
- be able to supply 3-years' of work history
- 3-years' reference checks
