INFORMATION SECURITY SPECIALIST

NHS - TEMPORARY CONTRACT - BAND 7
£21 PER HOUR / £40000 PER YEAR EQUIVALENT

CENTRAL BIRMINGHAM

Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)?
Professional Information Governance qualifications/experience or equivalent?
Deep knowledge of sysadmin audit network and Security (SANS), Open Web application security project (OWASP) security standards?
Familiarity with ISO 27001, GDPR, NIS Directive, DPA standards and regulations?

We're seeking a consummate professional for an assignment (a minimum of 12-weeks) working in a senior position with the NHS.

No doubt you will have experience in the design, development and delivery of training material in relation to Information Security requirements.

In addition your background will include providing specialist advice and assistance on Information Security and in the interpretation and application of legislation in a large public facing organisation.

Your CV will also include evidence of you extensive experience in

- disseminating information through a variety of media (including formal/informal training sessions) to a wide and varied audience.

- developing of policies, standards, processes, procedures and protocols and implementing same.

No doubt you'll have worked in a pressured and changing environment and used your analytical and networking skills as well as presenting to various staff levels/types.

This role requires your knowledge of key legislation underpinning the NHS with particular relevance to Information Security and requires someone who has experience of implementing change, Audit / Compliance monitoring and your responsibilities will encompass Information Risk Management and working with internal auditors.
