As the Information Security Manager for this NHS Trust, your duties will include:

+ Being the designated specialist on Information Security for the Trust and providing an expert specialist advice service in accordance with national and local IG security policies.
+ Developing processes to ensure that Information Security is incorporated into all IM&T and Trust wide projects where appropriate. This includes identifying Information Security requirements at project engagement and ensuring adherence during planning and implementation stages of projects.
+ Maintaining an up to date knowledge of Information Security practices and related statutory changes and initiatives and to suggest appropriate solutions to ensure services are able to conform to changes and new requirements.
+ Providing specialist advice and guidance to Divisions / Directorates on Information Security and appropriate best practice.
+ Contributing to the development of effective work programmes for staff in order to ensure that high standards of Information Security compliance are implemented and maintained across the Trust.
+ Responsibility for advising on the purchasing of items for use to support the Information Security agenda.
+ Contribute to the development and implementation of the Trust Information Security Policy.
+ Providing expert advice and guidance to Divisions / Directorates on Information Security incidents.
+ Being an active member of the Information Governance Steering Group providing expertise in all aspects of the Information Security Agenda.
+ Producing reports for the Information Governance Steering Group on Information Security related topics whilst ensuring the confidentiality of the individuals concerned is maintained.
+ Delivering training in Information Governance and assessing the participants at Induction
