Import Administrator - (Ongoing temporary cover to include Maternity Cover)

Birmingham Business Park, Birmingham B37

c£10 - £11 per hour (rate negotiable if very experienced) + free parking

Do you have import administrator knowledge and seeking a role where you will be valued and treated with respect - then this role could be for you.

Previous experience of working as an Import Administrator is required with a good, general understanding of Custom paperwork and ideally Ocean /Air freight.

You will have the confidence to handle a Key Account alongside the existing team member (training will be given) and have a professional, friendly disposition. You'll be working in modern, well-located offices in a friendly, small team where teamwork is key.

As the Import Administrator you will be mainly dealing with Ocean freight and potentially some Air freight. You will be an organised and professional administrator looking to join a team of professionals at a well located company in the BBP area. Your energetic and helpful nature will be on display to the customer and to colleagues alike.

On a day to day basis you will be:-
*A main point of contact for a Key Account customer
*Updating critical documents - Custom Clearances
*Liaising with Overseas agents and Carriers
*Processing shipment instructions and documents
*Tracing and tracking container shipments to SLA's
*Resolving customer issues

As an import administrator - it goes without saying that you will be a natural at: -
* working accurately to deadlines and have great organisational skills
* possessing the right skill and accuracy in your work
* drawing on your energetic nature to build relationships with your Key Account and other clients
* working under pressure
* committing to an ongoing temporary role where you will also cover a maternity contract

It is essential that you have strong interpersonal skills, are able to communicate effectively and appropriately with a wide range of audiences and a "nice to have" would be
experience of Cargo Wise software, but training will be given to the suitable candidate.
