Functional Skills Tutor

PART TIME - TUESDAY & WEDNESDAY

Temporary - starting asap - 31st April

Paying £14.54 per hour

Moseley, Birmingham

Hours 09.00-16.30

Responsible for the effective design, delivery and evaluation of the Trust functional skills programmes your role is to ensure the programmes meet City and Guilds accreditation requirements.

Acting as the contact and liaison point of OFSTED and City and Guilds for Functional Skills programmes you will be responsible for ensuring the Centre is prepared for inspected and evaluation visits.

*Preparing and delivering functional skills sessions for learners with a variety of different needs at levels 1 and 2
*Preparing resources for effective delivery of function skills groups whilst managing the evaluation of function skills programme
*Maintaining databases for the registering, tracking and progress of reporting of students
*Managing and monitoring the use of online functional skills assessment programme, completing and maintaining accurate records
*Liaising with learners' managers and tutors to ensure adequate support is delivered
*Managing a caseload of students effectively and providing a fair assessment for all candidates ensuring equal opportunities and health and safety requirements

You will:

*Be educated to degree level or equivalent experience
*Have an A1 assessors award or Teaching and Assessing Qualification Award
*Be experienced in delivering functional skills classes, registrations and certifications relevant qualifications
*Have practical experience of maintaining and developing systems and databases

Plum Personnel Ltd will pay the associated costs for your Occupational Screening and the Mandatory Training (essential) - this will be at a reduced fee of £30 which will be deducted from your pay over the first 3-weeks or on completion of your assignment (whichever comes first).
