Experience within an NHS Transport service department?

Significant experience working in a senior position within a transport service or equivalent department?

As the Deputy Transport Manager you will be responsible for:

+ Operational management of the Transport department, including line management responsibility
+ Ensuring that there are effective mechanisms in place for staff engagement and communication. To implement effective communication strategies and techniques to enable appropriate staff involvement in decision making
+ The delivery of performance standards, including financial, workforce, quality and safety standards
+ Identifying cost effective and efficient methods of service delivery
+ Managing staff and resources, ensuring they meet service requirements whilst staying in budget.
+ Maintaining an overview of all complaints and be responsible for ensuring: appropriate investigation and remedial action is taken and responses provided to the complainant
+ Developing and maintaining relationships with external bodies in order to ensure that service delivery is aligned to required legislation and regulation in relation to vehicle safety and driving licences. To ensure knowledge is up to date regarding relevant legislation and best practice

Candidates must have a solid work history of a minimum of 3 years.

We are looking for reliable individuals who are available immediately and are hard-working and committed. Dependant on the role, you should have strong, recent and relevant skills and excellent communication skills as you may be dealing with patients and consultants.
