Clinical Governance and Assurance Manager

BIRMINGHAM
Band 7 - £21 per hour
NHS Temporary role
3-months initially - ongoing

09:00 to 17:00 (37.5 hours a week)

We're seeking an experienced Clinical Governance and Assurance Manager who will manage the extensive clinical governance and assurance programme across Children and Families Division at a NHS Community Trust.

This will includes a wide range of projects and work streams relating to risk management, health & safety, and the Care Quality Commission Standards of Quality and Safety.

You will have gained previous relevant experience required to lead, plan, support, facilitate and monitor progress of governance projects and have responsibility for the design, development and delivery of associated in-house training.

You will lead on developing and maintaining the Children and Families Division's risk assessments, risk register and incident reporting systems as well as manage the Children and Families Division complaint systems in line with NHS and Trust legislation, policies and procedures

You will have responsibility for the line management of the Clinical Governance Manager and Clinical Governance Administrative Support Worker in addition to the Budget manager.

In a nutshell the role will involve

*developing and managing projects related to the implementation and assurance of Care
Quality Commission registration and standards, legislative and best practice requirements;
*managing governance and policy review groups to ensure action and improvement with particular reference to the Care Quality Commission essential standards for quality and safety;
*liaising with clinical, management and other staff groups to facilitate changes in service delivery to improve patient care;
*collation and analysis of information and data held within the division in relation to compliance with governance requirements and preparation of reports for submission to divisional managers and committees.
*preparing the Children and Families Division for Care Quality Commission submission, review and inspection;
*liaison with and reporting to Community Healthcare NHS Trust on governance issues including deputising for the Divisional Director of Nursing and therapies Children and Families Division representative on the Trust Clinical Governance Committee and other related groups as required

As you will be working in the NHS we will require you to -

- undertake or have undertaken Mandatory Training
- have a DBS (or be willing to apply)
- undertake a 'fit for work' assessment
- be able to supply 3-years' of work history
- 3-years' reference checks
