Accounts Manager - Maternity cover

Location: Shirley, Solihull

Hours 8.30 - 5.00 Mon - Thurs 4.30pm finish on Friday
Salary £20,000 - £24,000

We are seeking an experienced Accounts person who has excellent communication skills to join a thriving, family run company, supplying the engineering industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who looking to develop their career and gain more experience.

Your daily duties will include:
*Having a proactive approach to accounts and credit control
*All aspects of Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger
*Daily and monthly Bank Reconciliation
*Requesting and processing purchase orders, invoices, statements and outstanding paperwork onto the Purchase and Sales ledger on weekly basis
*Dealing with accounts enquiries via telephone and email, as required
*VAT returns, expenses
*Month end reporting
*Co-ordinating with couriers

Personal requirements
*Prior experience of working within an accounts position
*Experienced with using SAGE 50
*Good IT skills, including Excel
*Sound knowledge of sales/purchase ledger
*Excellent communication skills and strong organisational skills
*High level of numerical and analytical skills
*Confident with a strong work ethic and have the ability to take initiative when it comes to your workload and prioritising tasks
